What is the Blockchain?

A blockchain is a permanent, transparent record on a distributed ledger.

WhaleStats.com will show you Analysis of the top whale wallets on multiple chains as well as the most traded crypto, the most widely held and much, much more! (ie. whales are large crypto holders)

Data cannot be altered or removed on a blockchain.

Blockchains store data in blocks that are linked together via cryptography.

Each block contains the date, time, value, buyer, seller and exchange information.

In the crypto ecosystem, a Layer-1 network refers to a blockchain, while a Layer-2 protocol is a third-party integration that can be used in conjunction with a Layer-1 blockchain.  Bitcoin BTC and Ethereum ETH are Layer-1 blockchains.  Omisgo OMG and Loopring LRC are Layer 2's.
